The uphill route begins on Omapere Street about 200 metres from the Warspite Av roundabout. The track is initially concrete, but about halfway becomes a wide dirt track (just past the Staysail Place exit) and continues until the exit at Cleat St.

Parking is easiest at the Cleat St end - Omapere St is a busy road.
