There is a small carpark at the end of The Crowsnest road, and from there it is a short walk up to the top of the hill where there is a trig and picnic table. The track uphill is a good but narrow concrete path.

From SH58 (Paremata Road) turn into Spinnaker Drive and then left on the Ayton Drive. Follow the road round and turn right into The Crowsnest which is a no exit road, but with carpark and turning circle at the end.
