Description
The intent of this track is to provide an uphill complement to Car Parts, which it runs more-or-less parallel to. Being almost twice as long as Car Parts, this track has a more moderate gradient, making it more suitable for climbing up to the Polhill wind turbine.
Currently a couple of short sections of the pilot track coincide with Car Parts, though that will change as the track development continues.
Near the top, this track coincides with the section of Car Parts Extension that goes around the knob below the wind turbine car park. It then crosses the zig-zag section of Car Parts Extension that descends from an intersection with Car Parts, before continuing to climb at a reasonable gradient up to the car park.
Getting there
Starts and ends at the same places as Car Parts – though opposite, since this track is uphill while Car Parts is downhill. That is:
The bottom is directly across the sealed road from where there's a stile on the Fenceline track.
The top is directly across the car park at the Brooklyn wind turbine, adjacent to the eastern end of Car Parts Extension.
Other notes
Construction is expected to commence in January 2012, once Transient has been completed. Regular track building sessions will be held each Wednesday at lunchtime – see discussion for more details.
