Description

This track is part of the Te Araroa walkway, cleverly designed to provide access to Colonial Knob from the centre of Porirua with its public transport and shops. It begins across Titahi Bay Road from North City Shopping Centre and proceeds up the grassy bank beside Te Wananga o Aotearoa. (Look for the sign posts as per photo below). The track continues between the industrial area to the north and playing fields to the south. The track is wide and with wooden boardwalks and foot bridges, but the clay base and roots can be slippery during wet weather.

At the top as the track emerges on Rahia Street there is a sign to the Colonial Knob walkway entrances:

- Farm Route 160 metres left (suitable for Mountain bikers)

- Bush Route 380 metres right (walkers only)

The walk one way is about 20 minutes.
