Tucked away in the back streets of Tawa, this is a short loop walk with several seats including one with views across Tawa to Colonial Knob. An information sign at the start provides historical information about the walk. The track is good, but the bush is quite dense and it can be dark on a cloudy day. Some uphill walking is required, but you should complete the circuit in about 15 minutes.

At the top of the loop there is an obvious (but not signposted) Bing Mexted track leading up the hill to Bing Lucas Reservoir.

Heading north along the Main Road through Tawa, turn right at the roundabout into Linden Avenue and continue along the road as it turns in to Collins Avenue. The reserve is signposted on the left just before the road turns sharply to the right and becomes Woodman Drive.
