Description
Gentle 4wd climb to a ridge between Tawatawa Reserve and the Manawa Karioi Ecological Restoration Project.
There are a couple of short links to the Manawa Karioi loop, which would make a nice detour. The top of the Tawatawa track is behind the water tank, heading down to Tawatawa Reserve – ending just over 0.3km from the bottom of this track, along Murchison Street.
Getting there
Southern end is off Frobisher Street, next to the intersection with Murchison Street.
Northern end is next to a small water tank on a ridge overlooking Tawatawa Reserve.
