Description
This is a good track starting at the end of Anlaby Road in Nikau Valley. It goes across the hilltops with views of Lindale and Paraparaumu beside new sections in Nikau Valley. It descends to Nikau Palm Road. There are no signs at the start or end of the walkway, but the track is well used by local residents and the track joins in to Nikau Palm Reserve beside the picnic table which is outside the bush with a view to the coast.
If walking or cycling you can do a round trip by continuing right along Nikau Palm Road, left again in the Maui Pomare Road, and then back up Anlaby Road.
Getting there
Drive to the end of Anlaby Road in Nikau Valley (it is now sealed to the end), or you can park off the road on a corner on Nikau Palm Road about 400 metres from the junction with Maui Pomare Road and walk up-hill.
Other notes
Although this is a wide track, the landowners do not welcome vehicles on the track.
