Jungle Scout provides an entry to the Wainuiomata trail project.

At the start of the track, about 40m before the track enters the bush, Wetland Loop branches off to the right. This is also the exit from Beeline Extension.

The track is initially almost flat, and then climbs gently to meet Jungle Gym. There is a firm hard-packed gravel surface, which makes for easy riding or walking. Much of the track is under tree cover, which is rather pleasant.

From the end of Waiu Street, jump over the metal barrier. Proceed across the open area, heading a little to the left. The track starts at the point where the two ends of the Wetland Loop meet.

This track used to go through the dirt race track ("The Bowl"), but since December 2008 winds its way through the bush to meet Jungle Gym at a T-intersection.

The dirt area around the end of Waiu Street is popular with motocross riders, so listen out for them when entering and leaving the area. Re-development of this area is underway, including a car park for recreational users of the tracks, formal track signage, etc.

Renamed from 'Carpark Link' to 'Jungle Scout' in January 2009.
