Main northern walkway route from Simla Crescent to Mt Kaukau

The track involves a bit of a climb (nearly 300 metres) but is well rewarded with a good view from the lookout near the Mt Kaukau tv transmitter. It can be blustery up there on a windy day, but the track is wide and has steps and a few seats for resting. The council is also in the process of upgrading the walk so it is even easier for residents to enjoy the wonderful views from the top! Allow 30 minutes each way.

The start is signposted about 300 metres up Simla Crescent from the Simla Crescent train station.

Mountain bikes not allowed on this route.
