Bridal Veil

A reasonably gentle walk through forest north of Arthurs Pass.

From the carpark at the northern end of Arthurs Pass the track is marked at the same place at the more popular (shorter) route to Devils Punchbowl Falls. The Bridal Veil track is through Beech forest and has a reasonable gradient except for a short "down and up" in the middle. It exits to SH73, but there is no footpath so return is along the same route. Allow 1.5 hours for the return walk.

The walks are documented in a small booklet available at the Arthurs Pass information centre for $2.

Park in the carpark signposted at the northern end of Arthurs Pass.

Take warm clothing and be prepared for a sudden change in weather conditions (Arthurs Pass is around 750 metres asl).
