Description
Pleasant hillside walk around a once important fortified Maori Pa. From the large carpark there is a gentle climb up a wide 4WD path onto the grassy hillsides which provide good views over Hawke's Bay. There are several lookout points. Approx. halfway round there is a signpost with an optional exit over farmland to Churchill Drive. The loop track continues down to the carpark. Allow 1 to 1.5 hours for the walk.

Getting there
Drive south through Taradale on Gloucester Road towards SH50. At the bridge (Waiohiki Road) continue straight (don't go over the bridge) and the carpark is on the right about 50 metres further on. It is well signpost.
