This is a shortcut from the Ascot Park Walkway to Ascot Park via a rough-cut bulldozer track. The views over Pauatahanui Inlet are quite nice, though it would be best to stop when admiring the views as the track surface is rugged and loose.

The descent down to Ascot Park is very steep and rutted, with large rocks and vegetation debris aplenty.

From Ascot Park there is a short climb up to a steel barrier arm at the Conclusion Street end of the track.

Northern end deviates off Ascot Park Walkway, just before the concrete path turns straight up the hill.

Southern end is on Conclusion Street, above Ascot Park.
