A wide track between the creek beside the Shandon golf course and state houses. It provides an alternative route to the Hutt River Trail through the golf course. Starting from entrance on Bracken Street which is just before the entrance to Memorial Park, the track leads south towards the sea. Approximately mid-way there is an exit to Tennyson St, and further on there are two exits around the state houses to Heretaunga St. The track finally exits near the end of Jackson St in the industrial area.

Consider this an alternative route for variation if doing the Ava track of Hutt River Trail.

There is a carpark at the end of Bracken St near the entrance to Memorial Park. The southern end is walking distance from Petone along Jackson St, and from Hikoikoi reserve.
