Approximately 400 steps connect Rangiora Av (opposite Placemakers on Hutt Road) to Amritsar Street in Khandallah. Can be a useful shortcut. The steps are wider and street-lit at night. Going down is much easier than going up! There are good views over Wellington harbour from the top of the steps at the end of Amritsar St.

There is a bus stop on Hutt Road opposite Placemakers near Rangiora Avenue. Parking is difficult at the end of Amritsar Street.
