Description

This a short (5 - 10 minute) track with historic significance. It was made by the woollen mill workers around 1900. When the mill closed in 1968 the track became overgrown, but was re-discovered and cleared in 2002.

It connects Korokoro with the Cornish Street track into Belmont Regional park. Note that if walking, there aren't any footpaths on Korokoro Road on the descent to SH2, so it is better to follow Singers Rd to Maungaraki Rd and pick up some of the other Korokoro walking tracks. If you want to do a loop trip it is possible to walk through Korokoro to Tiro Moana road and take the Stream Link back down to the stream.

The track is reasonable but can be a bit wet and slippy in winter. Bikes can use it - there aren't any steps.

Getting there
