Description
There is a good carpark at the end of Tutere Street by the river mouth, but there are many points where you can access the lagoons from surrounding streets.
Whilst some people come to feed the ducks, the lagoons have good numbers of NZ Scaup, Dabchick, Grey Teal, Shoveller, and Shags. There is a large fir tree in which Shags roost and breed, and Spoonbill may also sometimes be seen roosting at the top of the tree.
Track is flat.
Getting there
By car, park in the carpark at the end of Tutere St. There are toilets in this carpark.
