Description
This is a useful shortcut and interesting diversion if you are doing the Northern Walkway or Trelissick Park tracks. It is easy to miss. It links Waikowhai St to Kenya Street.
There is a bridge across Korimako Stream (Kaiwharawhara Stream) with nice bush views.
There are several places of historic interest in the area. The Kenya St entrance to the bridge is opposite the famous clock tower, and next door is a large pioneer house owned by Colin McDiarmid photographer. For details of the historic places check out the sign in front of Ngaio Library on Ottawa Road (near the entrance to Cummings Park).
