This is a short loop that deviates off S Bend and then rejoins S Bend less than 100m further along.

From near St. John's Pool this track heads up the valley alongside the Kaiwharawhara Stream, just downstream from the Karori Sanctuary. Just as it reaches a weir across the stream, the track turns uphill to rejoin S Bend.

Northern end diverges off S Bend a few metres south of St John's Pool, just as S Bend starts to climb out of the valley.

Southern end drops off S Bend 50m before reaching Waiapu Road.
