Description
This track cruises generally downwards from Alexandra Road to just above Charles Plimmer Park. Going the other way, this is a convienient way to get from Majoribanks Street up to the centre of Mt Victoria. Some sections of track are moderately steep, but nothing major.
The surfaces varies considerably along the length of this track. From the top end, the surface is initially firm gravel. Subsequent sections include hard-packed dirt, tree roots, rocks, pine needles, and occasionally mud.
Along the way, this track passes through several intersections. To stay on track, simply follow the helpful little marker signs that were installed in mid-2009.
Getting there
Southern end is at a busy intersection on the northern side of Mount Alfred.
Northern end meets Lookout Walkway just above Charles Plimmer Park.
