This is a fairly steep connection from the Mount Albert Park hockey fields to a busy intersection with several other tracks. The gradient is between 15% and 20%, making for a decent climb.

Near the mid point of the main track there is a spur that heads north to meet the loop section of Newtown Park.

Eastern end climbs up from the car park of the Mt Albert Park hockey fields.

Western end is in a clearing at an intersection with Western Slopes (where its shortcut drops down to meet Melrose Park), and the top of the advanced section of Newtown Park.

At the halfway point a spur heads north to meet the loop section of Newtown Park.
