Description
This connection from Mangaroa Tunnel to Plateau Ridge (which passes directly over the tunnel) provides an interesting diversion from the easy tracks in the area.
The surface is rough and the track is quite steep – it is, however, very short.
Getting there
The upper end is almost 0.3km north of the intersection of Mount Climie Firebreak and Plateau Ridge at a sign that says "Tunnel Gully via Mangaroa Tunnel".
The lower end meets Mangaroa Tunnel at a T-intersection, a few metres west of the tunnel.
