Description

This tracks rolls along the ridgeline between Moore Valley and the Hutt Valley, passing Mount Ken along the way. Mount Ken is roughly the northern-most point shown on the map, located about 0.8km from that end of the track.

Most of the road consists of rolling hills, with gradients between 10% and 15%.

Just to the west of Mount Ken there is a 0.15km long alternative route that takes a short-cut across a bend in the track, as shown on the map.

For a bit of adrenalin try the Wilkie Firebreak, the top of which is located about 0.6km from the western end of this road.

Since this is a secondary road the surface is generally a bit rougher than ECNZ pylon road, though that just makes it more interesting.
