Waipapa Loop

Very steep loop off Red Rocks to the floor of the Waipapa Valley.

This is a very steep loop off Red Rocks down to the floor of the Waipapa Stream valley and then back up to Red Rocks. The track surface is quite rocky and occasionally a bit loose on top but firm underneath.

From the bottom of the valley you can either continue around the loop or climb up Waipapa West to Ribs - and from there either up to Te Kopahau or down to Pariwhero.

On the northern side of Waipapa Loop the Radome track branches off to the north at a T-intersection less than 0.3km from Red Rocks.

Branches off Red Rocks 2.5km from the top and then rejoins Red Rocks a further 0.4km towards Pariwhero.
