This is a gentle wander through the pleasant gardens and trees of Poole Crescent Reserve, which is adjacent to the Wainuiomata River.

Initially the track is a smooth gravel path. At the end of the Reserve cruise down the long car park outside the Wainuiomata AFC clubroom and grounds. At the end of the car park jump over the low barrier and follow the fenceline towards the bridge.

At the bridge, instead of crossing the river veer into the bush just upstream of the large pipe. Follow this short piece of singletrack to either a metal barrier at the end of Hine Road, or ford the creek and head towards the start of Gums Loop.

Starts on Main Road, at the south-eastern corner of a bridge over the Wainuiomata River.

Ends at the eastern end of Hine Road.
