Description
From the Waione Street footpath, drop down a narrow track that skirts around the edge of the estuary. Continue along a gravel road then up a small hill to the Hikoikoi Reserve, where there is a wooden platform and information board.
Next section of the Hutt River Trail:
Ava to the north
Strand Park across the river and to the north
Petone continues along the foreshore to the southwest.
Getting there
Northern end is 0.15km west of the Hutt Estuary Bridge.
Southern end is on the wooden platform in the Hikoikoi Reserve.
