At each end there are short sections of single track under the respective bridges. Inbetween the track is a mix of gravel path and paved road, though an alternative paved road runs parallel for almost the whole length.

Kennedy Good on the opposite bank

Strand Park on the opposite bank to the south

Silverstream on the opposite bank to the north

Southern end is at the Melling Bridge.

Northern end is at the Kennedy Good Bridge.
