Overview
This trail is accessed from Quarry then Tank trails. It takes the rider to the top of the hill which offers views across Mercury Bay and the township of Whitianga. The bush is generally regrowth but quite high. There are cleared areas to sit and rest.

Description
Up the valley from THE HUB Tank trail leads to the open space. It can also be entered from the other direction on Tank trail from Chicken end junction. Trail climbs from Tank in fairly open bush.Passes entry to Swinger trail and continues up a steep incline with walls on steeper parts.At the summit there are three options for descent. Straight ahead for Hi-Octane, on the right to Rattlesnake or in the bush to the right for the trail continuation. Rattlesnake crosses it at a spot that is also a steep option on the Summit Loop trail return or continue on until the loop meets the upward section already ridden. Following down here the exit of the steep option of the trail is reached. Swinger trail to the right takes rider down or continue ahead to meet at Tank and on to THE HUB
Getting there
Enter park and follow Quarry trail to THE HUB junction. Take Tank exit and follow up valley.
