Manor Park

Name

Manor Park

Location

Hutt River Trail, Wellington, New Zealand

Overview

West bank: Spur from Kennedy Good Bridge to Manor Park.

Grade

Beginner

Access

Bike and Foot

Description

This spur heads north on the west bank towards the Silverstream Bridge, but doesn't reach it due to a golf course being in the way.

If you follow the Manor Park Road stopbank to the south, under the rail bridge, there is a track along the river bank that eventually rejoins this section of the Hutt River Trail. Take care to not head inland too soon, or you'll find yourself literally in the middle of a paint ball fight!

The Dry Creek entry to Belmont Regional Park is just north of Manor Park, so this track could be a potential entry/exit point for Belmont.

Next section of the Hutt River Trail:

Melling to the south

Kennedy Good on the opposite bank to the south

Silverstream on the opposite bank

Getting there

Southern end is at the Kennedy Good Bridge.

Northern end is at Manor Park.

It is possible to continue through Manor Park and across to the other side of State Highway 2 via the railway underpass, then along State Highway 2 to the Silverstream Bridge. However, this is not recommended.

Length

5.15km

Conditions

Double track
