Description
Completed in January 2011, the "Waterloo" Track is 1.27Km grade 2-3 section of the Sharland Valley Trail. Starting at the junction of Sharland Road and Bobs Fern Road Lower entrance, this track follows the road down for about 300m before a tight right hand switchback down over a bridge brings you into some pristine native bush. A fast flowy section into some switchbacks brings you to the second bridge over the rive with a deceptive exit. A short section of climbing then brings you to a roller coaster run of big dips, one of which is quite steep at the start. the track finaly flows around the corner and joins up with the Sharland Valley Trail just below the 3km gate on Sharland Road. History: Originaly going to be called "Hogs Highway" the PD workers Portaloo was pushed into the river and needed to be recovered with a Hiab Truck. A request was made by the PD workers to change the name to "Waterloo" after this incidnet. A sign at the start of the track pays testiment to this!
