Description
More of a firebreak than anything else, this track skirts around the northern edge of the forest block.
The track is very steep, due to its direct route down the hill. But unlike The Slide, there is plenty of traction due to the rocky surface - so the track is surprisingly ridable.
Half way down there is a gap in the trees. Choppers ends just inside the tree line, and Green Hut leads to the centre of the forest at the nexus of The Slide, Danzig and Big Weta.
Getting there
Where OCR Belmont emerges from the forest, under the transmission lines, take a hard left down the hill at the "Stratton Street" sign.
Near the bottom of the hill the track joins Bridleway.
