This shortcut is hidden away in the back streets of Vogeltown, but provides a useful connection between Mills Road/Washington Av/The Ridgeway to Balfour Street - follow [[track:Wellington:Liardet Street]] for access to Macalister Park. It is sealed with handrails all the way, with just a few steps in the middle. There is access mid-way to the end of Mana Street, which is off Krull Street (Krull Street joins Mills Road to McColl Street in Vogeltown).

Ingestre St is a short no-exit street off Mills Road opposite the dairy on the corner of Mornington Road.

Balfour Street is a narrow winding road with narrow footpaths and little off-street parking.
