Location: Polhill, Wellington, New Zealand
Overview:
Short sealed pathway connecting Karapa Street with Mortimer Terrace.
Grade: Intermediate
Access: Bike and Foot
Description:
From the end of Karepa Street this is initially a steep sealed path that runs straight down a ridge. The first corner will be a connection point to Transient when the build of that track advances that far.
From the intersection with Transient the track zig-zags down a hill, ending with about 50 steps that connect with Mortimer Terrace.
Getting there:
Top is at the end of Karepa Street. Continue off the end of the cul-de-sac to a narrow sealed path next to #2.
Bottom is at the end of an off-shoot of Mortimer Terrace, consisting initially of a flight of stairs on a high concrete retaining wall.
Other notes:
The top end is accessible to bikes, though the path is rather steep (gradient of around 20%). The steps at the bottom end are not so bike-friendly.
Length: 0.23km
Conditions: Sealed road
