Main northern walkway route from Woodmancote St to Mt Kaukau

Grade: Easy

Access: Foot

Description:
Requires a bit of a climb but this does not put off families of all ages walking up to enjoy the views from Mt Kaukau. There are many steps on this route and they are now in good condition (but can be a little muddy in places after lots of rain). The lower Simla Crescent does not have so many steps (but requires the same climb).

This track joins into the Simla Crescent track on the way up to Mt Kaukau. All junctions are well signposted.

Getting there:
Nearest railway station is Box Hill on the Johnsonville line which will get you to Woodmancote Road. If driving, there is a carpark at the end of Woodmancote Road near the swimming pool

Bicycles not permitted on this route.
