Pleasant walk across sandy hillsides with good views over Wellington airport

Description:
Beginning from the park on Kekerenga Street the sandy track meanders along the hillside overlooking the airport and golf links. After about 250 metres there is the Moa Pt steps leading down past the golf links and sewerage treatment plant to the south coast. The track continues north along the hillside for about 1 km to Tukanae reserve. From here there are exits to Tukanae St and Ahuriri St.

Getting there:
There are several entry and exit points, but parking is not possible around the sewerage treatment works. Plenty of parking on Ahuriri St and Kekerenga St. There may be a bus service to this area.

Other notes:
Bicycle access okay on track, but a few steps at each access point.
