Overview:
Part of Northern walkway joining Crofton Downs to Trelissick Park
Grade: Easy
Access: Foot
Description:
This is part of the Northern Walkway and one of many routes through Trelissick Park in Ngaio. It is of interest because tucked away from view is a small field, quite pleasant for picnics on a summers day (but can be a bit damp in winter).
The tracks have recently been upgraded. They are wide and easy with good bridges over the Kaiwharawhara stream.
This particular route joins Waikowhai Street to Trelissick Crescent, but from Wightwicks field you also have the choice of following the stream. If you begin the track at Waikowhai St or Trelissick Crescent there is a large WCC map of the tracks through the park.
