Description:
This is a wide and gentle connecting track that would be unremarkable except that it was used during the filming of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Apparently this was the location where the Hobbits hid while being chased by Ringwraiths.
Both ends of this track are clearly signposted.
Getting there:
Southwestern end meets Hataitai to City 0.2km from Alexandra Road.
Northeastern end meets Old Mac 0.25km from Alexandra Road and 40m uphill from the top of Rosamund's Track.
