Updated the map with progress. Since the last update (26 June), about 90m of benched track has been added and another 90m of pilot track partially cleared.

New rollers have been added in a couple of places. Being new they are quite sharp, but will likely mellow with wear.

Smokin'

A little soft in places, but generally OK. The recent armouring is working well – though probably needs a bit more.

North Face

Brilliant! Graveling the top section is almost complete. The special gravel mix has made a tremendous difference - no mud, except for a 70m section that will be graveled soon. The refined switchback #14 is also a huge improvement, being less steep and with a big berm plus roller on the exit. Nice.

Top section is a bit rutted, with a couple of very narrow channels forming.

Aratihi

Much of the mud has gone, thanks to graveling and improved drainage. Still a bit soft in the middle section, but not a problem.

A bit rutted on the descent from the Sally Alley end, otherwise in fine condition.

Sally Alley

A few slushy bits, but generally the track is in good condition as it emerges from winter.

Live Wires

The flattish bottom section, where the track wanders along parallel with Koru, is a bit boggy. The corner that turns down back to rejoin Koru is somewhat rutted.
