Ngaio

A quiet suburb a few kilometres north of Wellington city. The compact village area has a few shops, cafe, library, school and is served by two railway stations on the Johnsonville line. There are several sites of historical interest - a large sign outside the Ngaio library can provide directions. The sunny, flat central Ngaio is surrounded by hills and bush clad valleys which makes for interesting exploration
