Ohakune
Ohakune is the town at the southern gateway to the Tongariro National Park World Heritage Site and Mt Ruapehu's ski fields. It is known as the aprés ski capital of the North Island, the Carrot Capital of New Zealand and has a number of must do Mountain Bike tracks. The newly opened Ohakune Old Coach rd and the Bridge to now where are not to be missed plus lots of little must do's. It's a great location and aptly lends itself to the phrase "where adventures begin".
