Hira Forest
large pine forest block and Native DOC Reserve close to Nelson containing several very good trails. Access to most trails requires a permit in this area. Suggested Grade 2-3 ride is to ride the 8.5km up Sharland road to the top of Scotwood Wiggles and down the Wiggles, then Down Lancewood Waggles, Waterloo, Sharland Creek track and finish off with Willow Lane. Supplejack, Rimu and Matai are more advanced grade 4-5 tracks.
